Medium sized Whippet is descended from greyhounds probably during 18th century. Native Englishmen used them as hunter of small animals like rabbits. Today the Whippet is one of the most popular Sight hounds with high appreciation as show dog, racer and lure courser besides warm family companion.

Whippet the Hound Dog breed is small but sturdy built, a light variant of greyhound is styled with a busty, flowing outline, while lean physique and long legs, additionally lissome top-line and powerful hindquarters. Sometimes square or slightly rectangle-like, greater length than height build is powered with stretchable strong muscles contributing keen and alert expression. Free moving, easygoing gait is rather slow and alert.

8. Old children would be pleasing but young kids may tease them and may be punished for their irritation.
